Phyllis A. Roestenberg is a trained mediator and graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. A licensed attorney for more than 16 years, her broad range of experience includes tenure as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and Senior Staff Attorney in the housing unit of a non-profit law firm. She has trained attorneys, law students and other professionals in the areas of conflict resolution, housing law, civil rights, child advocacy and domestic violence matters. Her work has been published in the Colorado Lawyer, Cornerstone and The Preventive Law Journal, among others. She is certified to practice before the U.S. District Courts in Colorado and Arizona and both the Ninth and Tenth Circuits. Through the Law & Mediation Office of Phyllis A. Roestenberg, Esq., she provides legal representation, consultation, training and mediation services. In addition, she coordinates a non-profit tenant-landlord counseling program which offers mediation services to tenants and landlords in Jefferson County and provides housing information to more than 4,000 landlords and tenants throughout the State each year. In 2008, she received the "Outstanding Contribution to the Courts Award" by the Arizona Supreme Court for "serving the public and improving the legal profession."
